MSN with Mrs. Aveiro

"like you can block yourself from liking others"
do i have to repeat that i'm as loyal as a dog?

"girls multi-task"
i can only have one crush at a time, i can't split my feelings
****

the first crush i had was for 6 years (lol)
the second was for 1 1/2 years
the third one, 2 years and still counting...

one at a time, yes, only one at a time...
yeah, i have this inability to have multiple crushes

i can't help it
but am i being a lil stupid?
****

And if you got something that you need to say
You better say it right now cause you don't have another day

おぼえている から

How long will I feel this way?
I just don’t know what to say
Time is just moving way too fast
And I just feel very weird

I guess a chapter of my life is closed
Next level and the game is exposed
How long will I feel this way?
Something in me just drifted away

back to the lord's arms

23rd June 2008
Rest in peace <3

I hope you found your place next to the angels
Know that we'll always keep you in our hearts...

I'm sorry, I'm just a little pregnant here

i needed something to blog about.
so when i saw this feature article on Yahoo! ah ha!
and if you wonder why i like to type on the "right", well, i just like it that way. for now.

we always hear "nice guys finish last" yada yada yada..
nice guys this. nice guys that. enough! what about nice girls?

no one has anything to say about nice girls.
so what they're nice? give me some hot chicks, then we'll talk.

okay, as I'm typing this, I did a super quick msn survey
(read: i have very little guy friends on my list)

question:
when i say nice girls, what comes to your min
d?

the common answers:

sweet, decent, friendly, down to earth, girls who make you comfortable, easy going

the O.o answers:
girl with short hair, you wouldn't want to know! trust me, pretty girls, marriable

marriable is not even a word. *shrugs* rofl.
but do you see the obvious stereotype?
most of the guys want to date a hot girl, but want to marry a nice girl
how would you know she's the one if you don't date her?

pretty girls are nice girls, one guy friend answered
physical appearance is the first impression and if you're pretty,
i guess you're nice (approachable?)
hmm, i wonder how true is that statement?

so, the question is: do nice girls finish last too?
maybe. but she who finishes last has the last laugh.

=) happy ending

well, don't listen to me...

you may be nice, provided you value and respect yourself FIRST
and you don't need someone to complete you.
Don't listen to Jerry McGuire just because of Tom Cruise. rofl.

Re: My final semester

reply to mrs. dos santos aveiro's post.

i dislike the fact i'm getting chubbier these days
i dislike night classes and I'm not digging the morning classes either
i dislike the fact that we're counting down our college days

i dislike knowing that I'm going to miss those "retards"
i dislike the fact that i'm going to miss uptown

i like that when September comes, i'll look forward to new experiences
i like the fact that we're moving on, life's too short to get bored

i like it this way and there couldn't be a more perfect 2 1/2 years than this.

4 shots of espresso

today was like deja vu all over again. the same people, different situations, oh yeah, the same 4 shots of espresso.

funny today is, everyone seems to be in an emotional state except for the constantly emo guy, vince. well, his work/script entitled TheRing, is going to be featured in a play. Congrats!

also, I think after all the consequences I faced, I think I'm going to be able to handle it. as if i suddenly find it easy not to really give a damn really. Okay, maybe I exaggerated a lil but it's really liberating to feel this way, to know that my feelings are my own, and I control it.

for once, i feel there's so much more to life. for the first time, i don't feel to old to explore new things, hey, i'm turning 20, and i think there's a bit of time for me to explore. so, world, watch out, here I come!

I haven't look behind, and I'm losing count of the rhythm of my mind..

it's not too bad... like.. you know..

how annoying that can be, huh? Americans with their like, you know... well, it's not like we, Malaysians get enough of our own lah(s), and meh(s). Before Bush gets to me, I shall zip it for now.

So, Mrs. Cris and I decided to pop in the US edu fair last Saturday, after a super long queue at tmpoint. hmmph. When we walked in, we reminded each other to "try" NOT to be intimidated by ivy leagues' schools, in which the "self-talk" didn't really work, I mean we were like Ooos... and Ahhsss... at the sight of Princeton, Harvard, bla bla bla...

Oh boy, and you can immediately spot "ivy leagues" material, well, trying hard to not stereotype them, but hey, heard of self-stereotyping?

Half and hour in there, I was going around, feeling rather lost (but not showing just yet!), I remember telling my partner in crime, that I wanted out *throws in white towel, and call it a day* kind of out. I was sort of suffocating. Nope, no exaggeration. :x

But we kept on going, and when people at the booth asked us about our college, we nearly screamed for joy when this fellow from Buffalo University recognizes our college, and told us it is a good one (well, I'm not so sure about the 2nd part, but hey, you should be there when he told us)

"Saving the best for the last", our last stop at this particular booth, gave Mrs. Cris goosebumps, i think, and you know the whole "hand fanning" gestures, yeah that. I was pretty pumped up, it's interesting, and why not, I was thinking to myself.

I'm leaving this post with a big question mark:-

What could have given us a "goosebump" like effect, and "hand fanning" gesture? Guess! :D

the red soles

if i were to own only one pair of heels, hands down, it would be a Christian Louboutin.

Christian Louboutin (pronounced as lu-bo-ton with a T)
and his heaven sent, trademark red soles! *drools*

Apparently the inspiration came out of frustration (which is usually the case) and this lady who happens to be painting her nails with red nail polish, so Mr. Louboutin grabbed her nail polish and poured it over the soles. Brilliant? Absolutely.

Oprah featuring Christian Louboutin's designs. Devilishly sexy!

Red Q: Do you think you can tell a woman's personality by the shoe they're wearing?

edit: my favorite girl rockin' monsieur louboutin's trademark.

the voice within

Decided to drop by jade's blog, and a sudden familiar song (and extremely loud, lol) came on. It's none other than Christina A's The Voice Within.

I browsed through my old posts, esp recent ones, a sudden realization dawned upon me.

I stopped writing. about myself. don't get me wrong, I certainly do not think the world revolves around me, that's when I was 3 months old? rofl.

What was this blog for in the first place? It used to be a place where I share my thoughts and dreams. It was meant to be my diary, but that didn't work out, well, diary=privacy and anyone who has a blog or is a user of the internet would be smart enough to know it isn't the most "non-judgmental" world, I mean if you post something up, readers will quickly form an impression of what you wrote (ultimately, you), good or bad, that's subjective.

So today, I'm just going to do just that. Write. and not be bothered by the above. Be damned to those who decide to laugh, because I will have the last laugh. Blogging is like talking to yourself, but it's really liberating. I do hope I do not need to see a counselor after this. haha.

When there’s no one else, look inside yourself Like your oldest friend just trust the voice within Then you’ll find the strength that will guide your way You’ll learn to begin to trust the voice within

-Christina A.-

Here, today, at this age (I'm not trying to be philosophical here, hehe), we're constantly undecided, unsure in so many ways, at crossroads of different pathways.

Questions of where to go? who to follow? what to do? I have a feeling that many adults are still feeling this way, or did they managed to overcome it?

Or the main question is, will we be able to overcome it?

Henry David Thoreau, an American author once said, "If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them"

Now, please excuse me. I will be busy building my castles in the air, and I'm going to bloody make sure I'm building those foundation, as well.

We seriously do not need to worry so much about life, because we will not survive it anyways. Although you need to take account of being wise or foolish, that is again, ladies and gentlemen, subjective.

the story behind the song you love

the song we all grew up to love
the man that wrote the song

also

lies a story of a man who battled
to abolish slave trade
he failed the first time round
he was devastated

he was told of these words:

You still have passion! That matters more!
Because after night comes day.

and then he fought on
and won the battle

let's take a moment of silence
close your eyes
and listen to this song once more...

i was blind but now i see...

somewhere over the rainbow

(somewhere in the car, stuck in the jam)

~a singing voice~

"somewhere over the rainbow,
fuel's price's cheap, and
there's no traffic jam
but bread and tea for me..."

in her shoes

"Reporters are like alligators. you don't have to love them, you don't necessarily have to like them. But you do have to feed them"

-anonymous-
via publicity & media relations lecture

but according to jamie,

"Reporters are like children. you don't have to love them, you don't necessarily have to like them. But you do have to feed them"

=_=;;
