65 years old, usually drives wherever she goes.
Has a planned trip to Bangkok with her mother.

It was nearly a Susan Boyle moment for me. It made my 2 1/2 hours train trip fun.

Never knew Melaka's Nyonya Cendol was this good. No more food court cendol for me.

As we were waiting for our chicken rice ball, we kept ourselves amused with this toy chicken that makes this really odd crow-like sound. Those sounds that you don't want to hear in the middle of the night kind of sound. [pic] my dad by the way.

due to the demise of my digital camera, i recently blew the dust off my beloved. i've missed you. haha. it's not dusty, just that it has been a long time.

funny how many satellite dishes are there while i don't even have a television in my home. nor do i need the distraction.

going loco on lomo

I'm not supposed to be chirpy on Monday, apparently it overflowed from last Friday. But really, gay is good. ;)

Saturday; I decided on a trip in June. Too excited to describe how elated I am. We're talking about one of the many places I wanted to go since I was 12. And I will be paying for this trip- well almost.

Sunday; I decided to become a Chairman and I'm set to build my Presidents' team. Super excited about that too. Ask me about it.

Monday; 3 months to the trip, I decided to go loco on lomo; I'll be joining the artsy fartsy lomo group by getting my own. :) I can't wait to take pictures like her.

i think this year passed too quickly, and poof! there goes my 20 years of life man. but well, this is best of 2008. a year that i grew up the most/the fastest maybe, although i'm stuck at 5'7" now. ups and downs, terrible and good decisions, friendship, and drama, prolly a tiny weeny increase in the social life (oh, it went extinct after that), and moments to share! :) [in no particular order]

a day around the island

quite an outdated post, but hey, who cares? So we took a day trip around Penang Island, and yes, no joking, we did go around it, to Balik Pulau which serves the "unofficial" best laksa ever.

first stop. Look out for Nan Guang restaurant (corner shop)

what's special about the laksa served here in Balik Pulau is that it is mixed with santan, which is really nice. Go try if you haven't. Of course if you don't like it, you can still get the original Penang laksa which is just as nice.

Cheap. A glass of drink costs only RM0.70. Perfect drink for a hot day.

We stopped by a cafe by the beach to have a cuppa coffee (mum)


Of course, what's life by the beach without something light to go with?


It's been years! since I went on the ferry, so we did...

We went up and took this picture of the ferry and the Komtar building, right in the middle.

And enjoyed a nice sunset as we leave Penang.

T'was a lovely trip. and good thing is that Penang is only 1 1/2 hours away from Ipoh. Gosh, can I say I love Ipoh? Yes, I can.

7.30pm and the unexpected crowd, and worst part, I couldn't get a good spot for pictures!

Desperate calls for desperate measures, I went up to the 2nd floor- climbed on the chair and took this, which is still pathetic.


12 year old, Kimberly, won the Yamaha guitar! *I didn't have the courage to join!*


A guy, who forgot his lyrics. Nervous and was actually trying-too-hard-to-impress-Marié.


She's not too bad. Just nervous.

I wasn't happy with the set up, because you can't get a good view, plus the audio was a lil faulty during her first song, Say it Again.

But it was worthwhile, because I got closeup pictures of her, as she took a mini break when it came to my turn!
